CSP Still Looking For February Hit & Run Driver

Fresh off a hit and run accident north of Monument Wednesday night, the Colorado State Patrol is reminding the public about another hit and run incident from February.

The deadly crash took place on state highway 50 near 61st lane in Pueblo County, and investigators are still trying to find a vehicle that may have played a crucial role.

2 vehicles collided on February 23rd, resulting in the death of one young woman who was riding with her three kids in the car.

Witnesses that day told patrolmen that a third car, a white Chevy Malibu or Impala fled the scene without stopping.

The car reportedly had Colorado license plates with the “Respect Life” columbine logo.

If you were in the area or have information that may be relevant to the investigation, Trooper Robert Varner would like to hear from you at (719) 252-0477.

A late night accident from Wednesday, April 21st is thought to be a possible hit and run as well.

State Troopers are looking for a newer model silver Camaro that cut off a Jeep, sending it down an embankment at about 11:00pm in Douglas County.

Two people in the Jeep who were not wearing seat belts were taken to hospitals in Colorado Springs and Denver with critical injuries.
