Amber Alert Cancelled: Missing Girl Found Safe

Police say they’ve found a missing infant in Evans, Colorado.

Officials issued an amber alert last night for Naveah Lopez.

Naveah’s mother told police she left her car running at a home in the 3800 block of South Grove Street in Sheridan around 7:30 p.m. Police suspect Peter Madrid drove off with the girl.

Sheridan police said an Evans police officer spotted the white Ford Focus officials were searching for.

He made a traffic stop and took Peter Madrid into Custody. Madrid is being held in the Weld County jail. Officials said he is wanted on several felony charges.

Investigators said Naveah appeared to be unharmed. She was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
