Sponsor Of Allen Rose Law Reacts to Guilty Verdict For Farries
The state senator who helped get a law passed as a direct result of the tragic death of Allen Rose says he is pleased with the verdict.
However, State Senator John Morse is also quick to point out the verdict won’t bring Allen Rose back.
Here is his statement to KRDO Newschannel 13 on the verdict:
“Allen Rose’s death was a tragedy for our entire community, but mostly for Renee Rose and her children.
I have appreciated Renee’s focus on making sure this does not happen again, but today’s focus is on criminal nature of what happened. Too many lives were damaged by this senseless act, but today a small measure of justice.
It doesn’t bring back Mr. Rose, but I hope it brings a bit more closure to Renee and her family.”
The Allen Rose Law gives tow truck drivers the authority to place a warning sticker on the driver?s side window, or door, of any vehicle they?re about to tow, warning that removing the sticker and trying to enter the vehicle is a crime.
