Many Head Out To Buy Powerball Tickets

Many are spending two dollars in hopes of gaining a million more. Its because the Powerball has hit a record high. The Powerball is up to 325 million dollars and many made sure to buy a ticket.

Several customers trickled into gas stations all across Pueblo buying what they believe is the winning ticket.

Evangeline Gutierrez spent Saturday selling tickets and wishing people good luck.

The prize may be big, but the odds are small. According to the Colorado Lottery website, your overall odds of winning is 1 in 32. The odds of winning the jackpot prize is 1 in 176 million.

However, many don’t think about the odds, they think about the payout.

“Everybody wants to know how much is in the jackpot. Once I tell them,instead of buying one they buy five or six,” said Gutierrez.
