Tragic Accident Kills Calhan Man

A 73-year-old man was found trapped between his truck and trailer by his neighbor outside his home on the 36000 block of Corona Road, just outside of Calhan.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff?s office, the neighbor had become concerned when the man was unable to be reached Sunday. It said the man was found Monday morning, trapped between his truck and a trailer.

Neighbors said the man was quiet, and kept to himself. One neighbor also told KRDO Newschannel 13 that the man was a friend of her grandfathers, and her father was one of the volunteer firefighters who responded to the call.

?I feel really bad for his family because I know he has a daughter and a granddaughter and I can only imagine how I would have felt if that was one of my family members,? said Megan McGlamery, who lives across the street from the victim?s residence.

The Sheriff?s Office said it will not be releasing the identity of the man until after an autopsy is performed. It said no foul play is suspected.
