Lindsay Watts

You’ll see me weekend mornings on KRDO anchoring Good Morning Colorado at 6 and 8 a.m. I also do investigative and consumer reporting for TARGET 13.

I joined the NEWSCHANNEL 13 team in December 2009. Before coming to Colorado, I worked for two years at KAPP-TV in Yakima, WA. I was the main reporter for our popular “Trouble Shooter” segment, tackling a wide range of viewer problems. I helped a woman get the unemployment money she deserved, exposed a dangerous sewage leak at a local motel, and even helped round up some stray goats wandering in a neighborhood. I was also successful in getting people’s money back from fraudulent businesses, equaling thousands of dollars.

I was born and raised in New Jersey and majored in Electronic Media at The George Washington University. My passion for broadcasting began at a college internship at WTTG in Washington, DC, where I worked with the station’s investigative reporter. From there I spent three years in sunny Los Angeles and earned a Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California. While there I had a great time interning for The Today Show, helping with stories from the West Coast bureau of NBC News.

I love the healthy and active lifestyle here in Colorado! In my free time I enjoy being outdoors: running, hiking and playing tennis. I’ve completed a triathlon and two marathons (working to improve my times!). I’m also a novice snowboarder and am glad to have plenty of nearby places to improve my skills!
