Harvest Of Love Food Drive

It’s that time of year again! The Harvest of Love is an annual food drive held in participating Colorado Springs area schools. KRDO News Channel 13 sponsors the drive and all the food and money collected is given to Care and Share Food Bank. The food drive kicks off Friday October 21st.

There are three ways you can help:

1) You can make a donation to Care and Share, the food bank for Southern Colorado. 2) You can send non-perishable food items to your child’s school. Donations will be accepted from November 1st through the 19th. 3) You can drop off non-perishable food items to either the Pueblo or Colorado Springs American Furniture Warehouse locations.

Most needed food items are:

~Canned meat and tuna ~Canned tomato products ~Boxed pasta ~Canned meals (chili, etc.) ~Canned fruit and vegetables ~Canned and bagged beans ~Canned soup ~Peanut butter ~Powdered milk

KRDO News Channel 13 and KRDO News Radio would like to introduce the ?Giving Goblet? Award to the 2011 Food Drive! For the school who has the highest percentage increase over their previous years total will have KRDO News Channel 13 Good Morning Colorado LIVE at their school on Friday, December 2nd for an assembly.
