New Walmart Supercenter Planned For Springs
Walmart is planning its 10th area Supercenter in Colorado Springs.
The new Walmart will be on the northwest corner of I-25 and South Academy.
The site will replace the existing south side Sam’s Club. It will include a 148,000 square foot super center and a 136,000 square foot Sam’s Club.
Construction is scheduled to start in summer 2012 and should take 9 to 12 months to complete. The stores will open together at the same time.
