Rollover Accident On I-25 Near Fillmore

Colorado Springs Fire Department is responding to a rollover accident on Southbound I-25 in between Fillmore and Garden of the Gods.

CSFD says there is one victim who was ejected from a vehicle.

The victim is a 23-year-old female. She was driving a green Jeep Wrangler. She was taken to the hospital and is believed to have non-life threatening injuries. A trauma surgeon happened to be driving by and responded to the scene. She was conscious and breathing when she was transported.

There is no definite cause for the accident yet, but there were reports of a large wind gust at the time.

The accident has been moved to the right shoulder and all lanes are open. Traffic remains slow in both directions, however.
