Police: Neighbors Help Officials Stop Burglary

Neighbors interrupted a burglary early Friday morning after calling police when they saw two unknown men enter their neighbor’s home.

Colorado Springs police said a neighbor reported seeing the men enter a home on the 1300 block of North Wahsatch through a window and rummage through the house.

Investigators said the two men fled the scene as officers arrived. Officials said the men dropped pillowcases full of stolen items. Officers chased the men, but lost them.

Officials said they found a car a few houses away from where the burglary took place. Investigators said they found three men hiding in the car. Police believe all three men were involved in the burglary.

Timothy Trujillo, Elton Johnson and Nicholas Wolters were all arrested accused of second degree burglary.
