Tracking the heat- 7/19/18

TONIGHT: A few stray storms are possible over the Southern Mountains through the early evening. Then skies remain partly cloudy to mostly clear overnight. Temps drop to the 50s and 60s.

TOMORROW: Storm chances increase starting tomorrow. Monsoonal moisture will move into the area, which will fuel our storms. Some of these storms will be capable of producing heavy rain and downpours. Flash flooding could become a concern over local burn scars. Temps could still be very hot in areas that don’t see storms until later in the evening; reaching the 90s across the area.

EXTENDED: Storm chances stay relevant through the weekend forecast, with a better chance of seeing storms on Sunday thanks to a cold front that is expected to move through the area. Thanks to the cold front, temps drop noticeably Monday and Tuesday. Rain chances begin to thin out by Thursday of next week.
