Heroin, cash seized after hit-and-run crash

A hit-and-run crash in Colorado Springs led to the seizure of heroin and cash Monday night (4/28/14).

CSPD officers were on patrol shortly before 9 p.m. when they discovered a two-car hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Brook Park Dr. and Dublin Blvd. The suspect driver ran away just before police arrived.

While police were investigating the crash, they found more than 138 grams of heroin, and nearly $7,600 in cash, inside the car of the driver who ran away. Police say the street value of the heroin is estimated to be between $15,000 to $40,000.

No one was hurt in the hit-and-run crash.
