Wind Causes Power Outages

Power has been restored to some customers living in Custer and Fremont counties while others remain in the dark.

Officials said wind caused a transmitter that services both Black Hills Energy and Sangre De Cristo Electric customers to go out.

David Atwood with Black Hills Energy said the transmitter had been fixed and a majority of Black Hills Energy customers have had their power restored by 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

Officials with Sangre De Cristo Electric could not be reached.
