Police Find 48 Pot Plants in Colo. Springs Apt

Colorado Springs Police arrived at an apartment on East Unitah Street Friday to look for a wanted person, but found much more, officials said.

While at the apartment, police said, they discovered 48 illegal marijuana plants growing in a bedroom closet.

Also, while recovering the illegal plants, police noticed what they believed to be “pirated” DVD’s, as well as the equipment used in this illegal practice, police said.

Police contacted the FBI in Denver and got a search warrant.

Detectives seized DVD’s and electronic equipment associated to copyright violations.

Christopher Renard Clanton was arrested, no word on what charges he is facing.
