Colorado State Fair sees over 30% jump in first-day attendance

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado State Fair saw first-day attendance spike over 30% this year, according to new numbers from officials.

According to officials, Friday's opening day saw 36,933 people in attendance. That is 34% higher than the 27,471 people who attended opening day in 2025.

The fair will continue running through Monday, Sept. 7 and features a variety of events and special entry features. Tuesday, Sept. 1 is "Two-Can Tuesday," where anyone can get free admission with a donation of two canned food items, according to the fair's website.

The next day is "Rocky Mountain Steel Mills One Price Wednesday." For one purchase of $15, fairgoers receive fair admission, Ranch Rodeo, Hairball concert and a carnival ride wristband for the day.

More information on the fair and ticketing is available on its website. The fair runs Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday. On Labor Day, the fair is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
