Survey: Stay-at-home moms should make $162,000 salary

It’s no secret that being a mother is one of the hardest jobs in the world and the work goes without any sort of monetary compensation.

What if there was a way to compensate moms for all their hard work and long hours, though? How much money should or would they make?

Salary.com tried answering that question by selecting a handful of jobs that reflect the work of a mother every day.

On the list were jobs ranging from academic advisors and art director to accountant, event planner, groundskeeper, and plumber.

The survey from salary.com also determined stay-at-home moms typically work more than 90 hours a week.

After taking those numbers and entering them into the website’s salary calculator, it determined the median annual salary of a mother should be around $162,581, up from $157,705 in 2017.

That’s a nearly 5 percent increase from the 2017 estimated salary.
