Denver implements 8 p.m. curfew after 2nd night of violence

DENVER (KRDO) -- After two nights of violence and a third day opening with protests, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock is responding to the chaos.

Saturday, Hancock announced he'd be holding a press conference around 1 p.m. to address the George Floyd protests.

The mayor announced a curfew for the city Saturday through Monday starting at 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. each day. Gov. Jared Polis has signed off on calling in the Colorado National Guard, said Hancock.

"Once 8 p.m. hits, our message is very simple: Go home," Hancock said in the conference.
