Police investigate bank robbery in northeast Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Police are investigating a bank robbery in northeast Colorado Springs.

Monday, police were dispatched to a report of a robbery in-progress in the 5000 block of N. Academy Blvd., just after 1:30 p.m.

Police determined a suspect entered the bank and demanded money from an employee.

Then, the suspect ran from the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

CSPD Robbery Unit are taking over the investigation.
