Motorcyclist dies in Colorado Springs after being struck by a car, in wrong-way crash

MGN

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a 3-vehicle crash off of Constitution Ave. and Springside Drive that left one man dead following a wrong-way crash.

Early Sunday morning, State Troopers responded to a call of a crash between two cars and a motorcycle on the east side of Colorado Springs.

The initial investigation by the Troopers determined that a motorcyclist was traveling down the wrong side of Constitution Blvd. when he crashed into an oncoming Honda Civic. He was then thrown from the bike and landed on the road, where he was unavoidably struck by another oncoming car.

The motorcyclist, only identified as a 45-year-old man, died at the scene. The drivers of both cars involved in the crash were not injured. CSP is still investigating, but they suspect alcohol may have contributed to the crash.
