Missing Colorado woman’s husband releases video pleading for her safe return

CHAFFEE COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The husband of a woman who went missing on Mother's Day in Chaffee County is pleading for her safe return. Barry Morphew released a video that was posted in the Facebook group 'Find Suzanne Morphew.'

In the video, Morphew is heard saying how much he loves his wife and that he'll do whatever it takes to get her back.

"If anyone is out there and that can hear this, please we'll do whatever it takes to bring you back," he said. "We love you, we miss you, your girls miss you. No questions asked, however much they want, I will do whatever it takes to get you back. Honey, I love you. I want you back so bad."

Suzanne Morphew, 49, has been missing since last Sunday evening when she failed to return home from a bike ride.

The Chaffee County Sheriff's Office closed Monarch Pass Friday to extend their search. The sheriff's office says they have found a personal item believed to belong to Suzanne, but they have yet to disclose the nature of that item.
