COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — Governor Jared Polis ordered flags lowered to half staff on all public buildings statewide from sunrise to sunset on Saturday to honor the passing of Commerce City Police Officer Curt Holland.

Officer Holland was killed in a crash on October 16.  He leaves behind his wife Amanda, and two young children.

Governor Polis offered his deepest condolences to Officer Holland’s friends, family, and colleagues last weekend. A statement from the governor’s office said he also sends his condolences to the family of Commerce City resident Francesca Dominguez who was killed in the crash.
