DHS

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. -- The county is partnering with the City of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management for National Preparedness Month. Together, they'll be hosting a free, 20-hour course to help you keep yourself and your family safe in the event of an emergency.

The course includes basic skills and tips like personal preparedness planning, severe bleeding control, and light search & rescue.

Registration is closed for this week's course, but they'll be hosting a second one in October. If you're interested in registering for that class, you can do so here.
