Train derailment temporarily closed Highway 67 in Florence
FLORENCE, Colo. (KRDO) — Highway 67 is open again after briefly closing at Highway 115 in Florence because of a train derailment, according to Colorado State Patrol.
That section of H67 was expected to be closed all day as the train crew waited for a recovery crane from Denver, according to CSP.
But CSP later tweeted that the Colorado Department of Transportation brought out a loader to help drag train cars individually down the track. This allowed the highway to reopen while crews wait for the crane to arrive.
