COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- KRDO viewers answered the call during the Colorado Honor Telethon on Wednesday, and we raised enough money to lay nearly 2,000 wreaths at veterans graves in Colorado this year.

A grand total of $28,920 was raised at 9 p.m. Wednesday, with more donations coming in. Each handmade balsam fir wreath costs fifteen dollars, so you made a big difference.

The wreaths will be laid at graves in the Pikes Peak National Cemetery, and if there are more available, they'll go to Fort Logan and Fort Lyon.

You can still donate right now by clicking this link. You can also text Honor2020 to 41444 or call 719-881-8922.
