High Country Adventures: Making pancakes at Pancake Rocks

TELLER COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Have you ever heard of Pancake Rocks? What about making pancakes up there?

Well that's what Stormtracker13's Julia Donovan set out to do over the weekend on a High Country Adventure. And it required an extra-heavy knapsack.

The hike is already challenging, going seven miles with 1,600 feet of elevation gain, but there were enough pancakes for everyone on the trail that morning. That made the experience a million times more enjoyable.

Friends, shared stories, laughs and a whole lot of chocolate chips! The idea came to light when Julia first did the hike five years ago. Now, it's come to fruition.
