COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - The driver of a vehicle involved in an early April three-vehicle crash later died from their injuries.

Colorado Springs Police responded to the crash at the intersection of North Academy Boulevard and Palmer Park Boulevard just before 8:30 p.m. on April 9. An investigation revealed a Volvo sedan was driving west on Palmer Park Boulevard when it ran a red light and hit a Pontiac sedan headed north on North Academy Boulevard. The Pontiac then pushed into a Volkswagen.

When the crash happened, none of the drivers complained of any injuries.

On April 13, officers went to the 2300 block of Heathercrest Drive for reports of a person who had died. Officers found that person was the driver of the Volvo in the April 9 crash and had died from the injuries they suffered in the crash.

The Volvo driver has not been identified. Officers are still working to notify their next of kin.
