Local Veteran surprised with a new furnace in honor of Veterans Day

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- With Colorado caught up in the grips of Powerball fever one local contractor is proving that sometimes it's the smaller wins that make a huge impact.     

Today, One Source Home Service honored local veteran Raymond Mora by surprising him with a new furnace.     

They do it every year around Veterans Day in cities across the country

It's a way of saying "thanks for your service".     

The furnace being replaced was 54 years old and in constant need of repair.

Raymond was nominated by his son Robert, who wrote in the nomination, “he helps the whole block he lives on, and doesn't ask for anything in return.”
