2 arrested for attempted homicide and robbery in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Two suspects were arrested late Saturday night and charged with attempted homicide and robbery, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Around 10:40 p.m. Saturday police officers were dispatched to a robbery at a business in the 2700 block of Shasta Drive in the Springs. There were reports of shots fired.

Police said two men went into the business and attempted to rob employees. Multiple shots were fired by the suspects and one employee.

The men fled the scene in a car. No employees were injured.

Later, a suspicious circumstance call came in in the 2700 block of Tumblewood Grove about two men matching the description from the robbery. The men were arrested and one of them had a non life-threatening injury to his arm from a rat shot round during the robbery, CSPD said.

The suspects were charged with attempted homicide and robbery, one suspect also had multiple unrelated felony warrants, according to police.
