KRDO

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO)-- The Pueblo County Coroner has identified the victims of two workers who died after being trapped under a pile of coal on Thursday.

The coroner says 28-year-old Kyle Bussey and 36-year-old Phillip Roberts died from their injuries. They were pronounced dead on scene by the Coroner's Office.

Officials say autopsies have been scheduled for the victims and their next of kin have been notified.

Jeff Hymas, communications director for Savage Services, said that his company is working with local and federal authorities and Xcel to investigate the cause of the incident.

The two workers were found underneath a pile of coal after several hours at Xcel Energy's Comanche Generating Station in south Pueblo.
