EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- An arrest warrant being served prompted a shelter-in-place near Fontaine Blvd. and Grinnel Blvd.

According to officials, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office was serving an arrest warrant Monday morning related to a case the Fountain Police Department's Investigations Unit is actively working on.

During that incident, the EPCSO issued a shelter-in-place due to significant law enforcement activity at 10:28 a.m.

The EPCSO said this affects a 1/4 mile radius of the 100 block of Judson St.

This shelter in place affects Talbott Elementary School, which is on precautionary secure status.

At 11:05 a.m., the EPCSO said the shelter-in-place safety request had been lifted and Talbott Elementary had been removed from precautionary secure status.
