Fire crews respond to grass fires in Colorado Springs Saturday

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Crews with the Colorado Springs Fire Department worked to put out multiple grass fires Saturday afternoon.

Crews responded just before 2:30 p.m. to a 10x50 grass fire in the area of Tejon and I-25.

According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department, smoke could be seen in the area, but no structures were threatened.

Not long after, crews also responded to another grass fire nearby.

  1. I sure would like to see stats on % of and cost of all fires vs fires near homeless camps in the city. Not a fair burden on taxpayers and I am sick to death of precious resources being spent on the dregs of society.

  2. The “homeless” are a threat to your health and safety. It is about time we started treating that way. Save your compassion for people that need and want it.
