SALIDA, Colo. (KRDO) -- A Salida couple began their traditional Christmas light show Friday evening.

Starting Nov. 27 through Jan. 1, people are invited to watch the five-song Musical Christmas Light Show. The show is every day of the week, from 5 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. at 7711 Vista Circle, Salida, CO 81201.

Dovie Gross told KRDO she and her husband decided to start the show eight years ago as a way to bring joy during the holiday, saying this year it especially matters.

To keep everyone safe they purchased a radio frequency, allowing people to watch the show from the safety of their cars.

The Gross family is also accepting donations for their local food bank, The Grainery. During one of the five songs, an announcement will be made guiding drivers to a donation box, which is gathered nightly.

The show is every day of the week, from 5 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. at 7711 Vista Circle, Salida, CO 81201.
