The Otero County Sheriff’s Office tweeted out the lockout status Friday afternoon. The courthouse was closed “for the safety of the courthouse staff and patrons,” according to the sheriff’s office.
One “person of interest” related to the threats was detained, the sheriff’s office said. The threats are still under investigation.
