Motorcyclist killed in Tuesday night crash in Colorado Springs

A motorcyclist is dead following a crash in Colorado Springs Tuesday night.

The Colorado Springs Police Department was called to the area near Alderney Way and Tutt Blvd., around 9 p.m. When officers arrived they found the man dead at the scene.

So far investigators have determined that the man was riding his motorcycle on Tutt Blvd. and failed to make the curve in the road. We’re told he struck a curb and was thrown from the motorcycle. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The Major Crash Team has taken over the investigation. At this time it’s unknown if speed or impairment are factors in this crash.

This is the 22nd traffic-related death in Colorado Springs this year. At this time in 2018 there were 23 fatalities.
