Mother Nature starting Fourth of July week with fireworks – 7/1/19

TODAY: Clouds and mainly dry skies will be seen through the first part of today, with scattered storms popping up along and west of the interstate after 12PM. Most locally will produce some heavy rain, but a strong to severe storms is possible north and east of Colorado Springs and over the far plains. Rain will keep the heat at bay, so you should only expect temps in the low to upper 80s today.

TONIGHT: Drying out under a partly cloudy to mostly cloudy sky. Lows cool to the 40s and 50s.

EXTENDED: Scattered storm chances decrease through the holiday, with only isolated showers and storms on the Fourth of July. Highs will be a little bit warmer that day and should be back in the 90s in some areas.
