A beautiful morning, followed by a stormy afternoon – 6/4/19
TODAY: Beautiful weather is expected through lunchtime today before clouds start to thicken up for the afternoon. Scattered rain and thunderstorms are likely through the evening drive tonight, with the chance of one or two becoming strong. Hail, gusty winds and lightning will be the big threats. We could also see a locally heavy downpour or two. Highs today warm into the 70s and 80s. 90s will be felt over the plains with 60s in the mountains.
TONIGHT: Showers and storms end. Partly to mostly cloudy with lows cooling to the 40s and 50s.
EXTENDED: Widely scattered rain and storms are in the forecast for tomorrow with slightly cooler temperatures. Storms and rain stick with us through the weekend, but chances aren’t looking nearly as highs. Temperatures become fairly hot again by Saturday afternoon.
