Suspect in custody after standoff, shootout in Pueblo

One person has been arrested after allegedly firing a gun at police in Pueblo and then barricading himself on the east side of town.

It happened Friday afternoon and the standoff was near 800 E. 2nd Street.

Pueblo police have given few details but said it started as a result of shots fired at police. It’s not clear how many shots were fired.

The suspect was taken into custody at about 3 p.m. He hasn’t been identified yet.
