Website looks at ‘Most Underrated Travel Destinations’ in each state
Go Banking Rates looked at all 50 states and picked out one attraction that many tourists have never heard of.
Madam Lou Bunch Day in Central City snagged the spot for Colorado’s ‘Most Underrated Destination.’
Louisa Bunch, Central City’s most famous madam, converted a brothel she ran into a hospital to treat tuberculosis to miners in 1914.
The town commemorates Bunch with a yearly festival that makes light of her original venture. The festival includes bed races, costumed participants, live music, a parade and a Madam’s and Miner’s Ball. The event takes place the second Saturday in June.
