1 injured after shots fired at University Village Apts. in Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs police are still investigating what happened after a victim showed up at a hospital an hour after several people called 911 for shots fired at an apartment complex Tuesday evening.
According to CSPD, officers went to the University Village Apartments at 5400 N. Nevada Ave. around 8:45 p.m. after multiple 911 calls said five to six shots were heard in the area. Callers also said someone might have been hit by the gunfire.
Police didn’t find a victim or suspect when they searched the area, but officers did find evidence that guns were fired.
About an hour after that response, police say a victim arrived at a hospital with “non-life threatening injuries.” The victim was shot one time.
No suspect has been identified, but police say they’re still investigating.
