Cooler with Rain and Snow Chances Friday 11-29-18

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and dry with lows in the 20s and 30s. Some low clouds may fill in over the Eastern Plains bringing areas of freezing fog and freezing drizzle.

TOMORROW: Aside from some light freezing fog and drizzle across the Eastern Plains, most of the morning should be pretty dry. Clouds will continue building in with cooler temps as highs only reach the 30s and 40s. A few 50s may still be reached for areas like Springfield, Walsenburg and Trinidad. By the afternoon, some rain and snow showers look to spread east. The lower elevations will mainly see light rain showers, but areas near the Palmer Divide and portions of El Paso and Teller County, may see some light accumulating snow during the evening commute. The nature of this system will be quick so accumulations will be spotty and light and confined to mainly an inch near the Palmer Divide.

EXTENDED: Saturday will be dry with a mix of clouds and sun. Temps will still remain cool, in the 30s and 40s. It may actually feel pretty raw and cold with breezy northwest winds. Our next storm arrives by Sunday bringing the potential for accumulating snow into Monday. There are still some details to fine tune, but right now the southern mountains look to have the best chance of seeing some of that accumulation. It will definitely be much colder Sunday and Monday with highs in the 20s and 30s. Stay tuned for updates!
