Windy and warm for today – 10/29/18
TODAY: Our weather will be mostly sunny this afternoon and our winds will begin to pick up as well. A wind alert level 1 is out today, so look for gusts between 3- and 35 mph. I think the best chance of seeing some of those stronger wind gusts will be in Teller and Fremont County. Highs today will be in the 70s and 80s (10 to 15 degrees warmer than normal this time of year).
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with lows in the 40s. Mountain cities will be in the 30s tonight.
EXTENDED: Tomorrow brings increasing chances for rain and snow during the late afternoon and overnight. This carries over into Wednesday and by this point, places up and down I-25 and over the mountains should be seeing all snow. The active weather should wrap up in time for trick-or-treating, but heavy jackets will be needed over the costumes. Snow boots will be needed in some areas that see accumulation. Right now places along the Palmer Divide and west of I-25 look to have the best chance of doing some shoveling. A few lingering snow showers are possible Thursday and Friday, with quieter weather on Saturday.
