Severe Storms Possible Tomorrow 8-17-18

TONIGHT: An area of light to moderate rain continues marching east across the Eastern Plains. Severe weather is not expected but the slow movement of these storms may lead to some minor flooding. Flooding concerns were noted earlier in southern El Paso County. Skies remain mostly to partly cloudy with lows in the 50s and 60s.

TOMORROW: Another round of severe weather looks likely tomorrow for the afternoon and evening. Plenty of sunshine is expected early but once storms near the I-25 corridor, they are likely to contain heavy rain, gusty winds and large hail. Storms track eastward towards the Kansas border through the evening hours. Highs are expected in the 70s and 80s.

EXTENDED: The second half of the weekend looks really nice with only isolated storms likely over the higher terrain. Most areas will stay dry with slightly cooler temps. This trend continues into Monday before storms return again by Tuesday. By Wednesday into Friday, temps look to climb well above average.
