Dump truck collides into 2 vehicles in north Colorado Springs

Two vehicles were pinned up against a wall by a dump truck Monday afternoon near Interquest Parkway and Market Center Point in north Colorado Springs.

The crash ended up trapping several people inside and multiple ambulances were called to the scene. Five people were taken to the hospital.

According to police, the gold vehicle tried to turn left in front of the truck when it was hit. They then caught the white van in the mix and the group of vehicles ended up getting pushed out of the intersection into green space near the sidewalk.

Six players from the Air Force Soccer Team were inside the van, and three were taken to the hospital. They were all active duty service members and not cadets.

The driver of the gold Toyota will be cited for causing the crash.
