Strong storms possible today – 5/15/18

TODAY: We will have a mainly dry first part of the day. Sunshine and scattered clouds will allow for highs to warm to the upper 60s and low to mid 70s. 50s will be felt in our mountain cities. After 2pm, showers and storms will be developing along and east of I-25. Some of these storms will be strong, and one or two could reach severe limits. Hail and high winds will be possible in our strongest storms today.

TONIGHT: Any kind of storms will wrap up by midnight. We will be mainly quiet the rest of the night with lows cooling into the 40s and 50s.

EXTENDED: The long range forecast looks very spring-like. Highs will warm back into the 80s for the middle of the week, before cooling into the 60s and 70s by the weekend. Showers and storms are possible each day this week, with the best chance of rain and storms moving in on Friday and Saturday.
