Pueblo West girls basketball team doesn’t lose much

The girls of Pueblo West haven’t done much losing this season.

One game! They’ve lost just one game, “I thought we came out flat, our energy wasn’t very good and our offense wasn’t working the way we expected it,” says Olivia Lough, “Yea we just couldn’t get anything in the bucket and I think mentally we just weren’t there that day,” says Hannah Simental.

They took that loss to Fruita-Monument hard, because sophomore leader Hannah Simental says the team is steeped in competition, “Competitiveness, I think that’s what gives all of us our edge. Because we’re so competitive and we want to win,” says Simental.
