Man in serious condition after shooting in NW Colorado Springs

A man was rushed to the hospital in serious condition on Friday night following a shooting on the northwest side of Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs police responded to a duplex near Pioneer and King where a man was found with a serious gunshot wound to the leg.

The Colorado Springs Police Department spokesperson, Lt. Howard Black said that the victim was living in one of the garages attached to the duplex, and the shooter and the victim knew each other.

Lt. Black also said that the duplex landlord gave the victim permission to stay in the duplex.

It is unclear whether the shooter was also living in the duplex and whether he knew the victim was living in the garage.

A lot of information on how the shooting unfolded has yet to be released.

No arrests have been made at this time.
