A Helping Hand for the Homeless

Pueblo county workers are doing their part to make sure homeless people in the region stay warm and have new clothes.

Today, Pueblo county employees, friends, family and community members started a project that’s part of the “Corporate Cup” event.

This specific charity project is called the “Togetherhood” project.

Between now and Sept. 16th, anyone can donate new and gently used clothing, shoes, boots and hygiene products that will be donated to the Pueblo Rescue Mission and homeless people living in the community.

“We’re hoping this project will bring together not only pueblo county employees, but also the community, the community can participate and donate an item to the drive,” said Paris Charmichael, Pueblo county’s community information manager.

You can drop any items off at the historic pueblo county courthouse. Again, Pueblo county encourages people to drop off clean and gently used clothing, along with new clothes. Please see the list below for specific items.
