Garage fire in Colorado Springs displaces family
Crews in Colorado Springs put out an early morning garage fire on Tuesday (2/25/14).
The fire department said crews were called out to a home in the 2300 block of East Monument Street around 3:30 Tuesday morning.
As of 4 a.m., firefighters had the fire under control.
Firefighters said it began in a garage. A home nearby also sustained damage.
A family of five has been displaced with their two dogs, firefighters said. The family is working with the Red Cross to find a place to stay.
