Death investigation underway in Alamosa

The Alamosa Police Department is investigating after a person was found dead in a vehicle. The vehicle was found parked on the street in between the Safeway and Walgreens stores.

Alamosa Police told KRDO NewsChannel 13’s stringer Ken Sanchez that someone was found dead in the car from an apparent shooting around 10:00 a.m. Thursday. It is unclear when the actual shooting took place.

Officers are unsure if this is a suicide or homicide at this time.
