Colorado State Patrol joins Lutheran Medical Center for breast cancer awareness event

CSP

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado State Patrol is partnering with Lutheran Medical Center to host a breast cancer awareness event.

In honor of National Mammography Day, which is Friday, Oct. 21, CSP will be at the Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge to bring awareness to the disease and support those currently battling the disease. The event will also honor survivors and the loved ones that supported them through that difficult time.

There will also be information about reducing the risk of breast cancer through education, screening, and lifestyle changes.

The community is invited to attend and encouraged to wear pink for the event. It begins at 11 a.m. at Entrance 3 of the Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge.

CSP will also have a specialty-wrapped patrol car there to be signed by those undergoing treatment, survivors, or in a person's honor.

CSP says this is one of several Breast Cancer Awareness events around the state that's happened during October.
